Voicetec Becomes Reseller of Aspect Communications Solutions

SAN JOSE, CA - Aspect Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: ASPT), the provider of business communications solutions, announced that Voicetec will sell and offer systems integration and support services for the Aspect IP Contact Suite across Europe. Voicetec is an independent solution provider and distributor of advanced voice-over-IP (Internet protocol) solutions and will offer Aspect software as its contact center solution, along with full services and support for Aspect platforms in Europe. Voicetec, based in the Netherlands, focuses on delivering multichannel VoIP contact centers. Voicetec also provides a range of services, including integration, custom application development, packaged applications, Web interfaces and ongoing system and application support. Voicetec will serve as Aspect's alternative product support provider for the European market. "We compared all the new IP-based contact center offerings and have concluded that Aspect has the most advanced, best-integrated platform to build the next-generation contact center," said Hanjo Huizing, president of Voicetec. "Voicetec complements Aspect's software with strong service and support capabilities, creating powerful solutions for customers across Europe." The Aspect IP Contact Suite enables multichannel communications, including traditional voice technologies (PSTN), VoIP, e-mail and Web collaboration. Voice traffic travels over the same IP network as data and other communications such as e-mail and Web-based communications, versus over a separate circuit-switched network. Aspect's solution merges all communication into a unified queue and delivers it to the integrated desktops of service representatives. One network for voice and data centralizes administration, and the browser-based desktop applications empower the representatives to respond to contacts via all channels-voice, e-mail, Web chat, assisted browsing and more.
