VoltDelta Forms Strategic Partnership with Envox Worldwide

NEW YORK, NY and WESTBOROUGH, MA - VoltDelta, a subsidiary of Volt Information Sciences, announced that their strategic partnership with Envox Worldwide, a provider of voice-enhanced communications solutions, continues to generate sales of diverse, key automated Operator Services solutions. The latest solution will allow SNT Nederland, the Dutch provider of CRM, to fully automate a large percentage of nationwide Directory Assistance calls to its call center. VoltDelta's SpeechExpress platform utilizes Envox's Communications Development Platform for automating the call flows and speech interactions in their Operator Services applications. The Envox platform provides rich telephony control and speech interaction capabilities, which can be rapidly assembled into applications. Envox's platform creates significant time-to- market advantages for VoltDelta in creating customized solutions to meet the varying needs of its Operator Services customers. Operator Services automation helps service providers reduce operating costs and facilitates the introduction of new automated services. VoltDelta's SpeechExpress platform supports automation flexibility for many different services in the traditional and expanded Operator Services environments including Local Directory Assistance, National Directory Assistance, Reverse Directory Assistance, Enhanced Information Services, Location-Based Services, "0-" Services, and Automated Alternate Billing Services. The Envox Communications Development Platform was selected to provide the open Interactive Voice Response (IVR) portion of SpeechExpress. SpeechExpress with the Envox platform allows rapid integration of multiple, simultaneous technologies such as speech recognition, text-to-speech, store and forward, SMS, WAP, and many more, as needed for each automation environment. The GUI- based Envox development environment contains a vast array of interface building blocks for fast and easy creation of new services for application developers and end-users, alike. Additionally, the VoltDelta/Envox solution provides flexibility and control over all aspects of automated service call flows. It offers a platform with the ability to leverage the strengths of each supporting technology vendor by deploying different speech engines, text-to-speech engines, and automation applications for specific user requests and upgrading these technologies as other leaders emerge in the market. Service providers enjoy further on-going cost benefits by consolidating all automated applications on the same platform for economies in facilities, training, system administration and support costs. "Integrating the Envox platform into our SpeechExpress platform was a key strategic decision to support our corporate goal of expanding Operator Services beyond the traditional service set," said Joe DiAngelo, president of VoltDelta. "The Envox platform simplifies the development, deployment, and long-term management of the broad range of advanced automated services that our customers demand. At the same time, Envox is an excellent choice for deploying high volume, carrier class applications that allows VoltDelta to integrate multiple speech recognition technologies. Our customers will maximize the return on their investment in SpeechExpress because of the long- term commitment of both VoltDelta and Envox Worldwide to advancing the state- of-the-art in automated solutions." Service providers can manage their operations by utilizing SpeechExpress with the Envox platform to integrate automation with live operator handling. VoltDelta's SpeechExpress with the Envox platform currently provides turn-by-turn automated driving directions, as well as language selection for wireless callers to Operator Services.
