Voxware, a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced that release 3.1 of its flagship Voxware 3 software product is now generally available.

Release 3.1 is a major upgrade that reinforces Voxware’s commitment to portability with support for new mobile devices, improves scalability, and extends voice applications with new advanced features.

One advanced feature is Variable Pick and Pass—a workflow with many choices for driving the process of passing containers when more than one worker is needed to complete order selection. The ability to configure various picking processes responds to a key need for many distributors of such diverse products as books, auto parts, and consumer packaged goods.

“We are continuing to do something unique in the voice industry—delivering successive releases of a packaged voice software product,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “Plenty of vendors create customized solutions that are frozen in time and expensive to change. Voxware, on the other hand, has delivered a true software product with a release schedule and new capabilities customers can leverage over time.”

Beyond Variable Pick and Pass, Release 3.1 also delivers Dynamic Loading—an industry-unique adaptive workflow that gives supervisors unprecedented flexibility and control over the validation of loads, pallets, trailers, and doors that must be managed every day in shipping orders on time and error-free. Style-Color-Size voice-enables product handling for Voxware’s growing cadre of soft goods retailers, distributors, and manufacturers. Another enhancement is Advanced Container Management—an array of configurable options that supports the increasingly sophisticated container handling requirements of modern warehousing operations.
