Witness Systems Appoints Senior Executive
LONDON and ATLANTA - Witness Systems (NASDAQ: WITS) announced the appointment of Steve Allen to senior vice president of international operations.
In his position, Allen is responsible for all operational facets of the business including sales, channels, alliances and marketing in the international (EMEA and Asia/Pacific) regions. Working from the company's head international office in Leatherhead, United Kingdom, Allen brings more than 25 years of industry experience in technology, specifically in the software sector, considerable expertise in international business and a track-record in management and business development. Prior to his appointment, Allen worked for BEA Systems, where he most recently served as senior vice president of EMEA. Other positions he has held within the company include vice president of WebXpress, vice president of business development and managing director for the United Kingdom, Ireland and Benelux. Prior to that, he was head of European expansion for Indus International and chief executive officer for Walker Interactive Product International. Outside his responsibilities at Witness Systems, Allen is a member of the Prince's Trust Development Board and serves as co-chairman of the Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group.
