XSell Names Tony Cherry Vice President of Development

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - XSell, a provider of cross-sell and retention solutions to the financial services industry, added Tony Cherry as vice president of development.

In this position, Cherry is responsible for leading all development and technology initiatives as well as supporting the expansion of XSell product functionality. He also oversees internal and client-supporting technology infrastructure. Cherry brings more than 14 years experience developing and enhancing technology applications and products in various markets and working with Fortune 500 and privately held companies.

Prior to joining XSell, Cherry served as vice president at Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation in Jacksonville, Fla. Here, he built a new development team from the ground up, including staffing, processing and infrastructure expansion. Cherry also supported the technology needs of all mortgage departments- finance, secondary marketing, and sales. His experience also includes multiple positions at Fidelity National Financial Inc. (ALLTEL prior to March 2003), a provider of outsourced products and services, including technology solutions, title and escrow services, personal insurance, and claims management services. During his tenure, he served as senior manager of default development and product development, among other roles. In addition, Cherry was manager of software engineers at PathTech Software Solutions Inc., which develops software systems for financial, insurance, engineering, sales, manufacturing, government, administrative, and educational applications.

Cherry earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida.
