Grundig Business Systems (GBS) has launched a new version of its speech processing software: DigtaSoft 4.3. This new version supports the new dictation microphone Digta SonicMic II, the follow-up version of the Digta SonicMic. Furthermore, with the new version of DigtaSoft the user can import and play AMR files, such as from BlackBerrys and mobile telephones.
Another new DigtaSoft Pro feature is the document release process (validation). “This means that a written document can be passed along directly through the dictation network, through several authorization levels, up to the point where it’s finally released,” according to GBS’s managing director Roland Hollstein. A document’s current status within the release process can be tracked at all times. And the author can be informed automatically when documents are completed or marked for release.
Digta SonicMic II for operating Dragon NaturallySpeaking
The new Digta SonicMic II comes complete with DigtaSoft 4.3. Unlike its predecessor, the Digta SonicMic, the new dictation microphone sports such details as mouse control that works independently of the PC mouse. This allows for individual adjustment of the Digta SonicMic II’s mouse cursor speed. The dictation microphone’s buttons can also be individually configured and stored. Thus, it can optionally retain its settings even when being used at another workstation.
Moreover, the Digta SonicMic II can operate Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software via mouse control, slide switch, and function keys. For the user, this means that there’s no need to learn application-control commands or commands to edit an existing text.
