Loquendo Opens Offices in Manhattan

Loquendo, global provider of speech technology, opens its new offices on Fifth Avenue in the heart of New York City, in response to the increased demand in North America for Loquendo’s speech products.

Turin, Italy (6/11/2008) - Loquendo, global provider of speech technology, has been consolidating its presence in the US, Canada and Mexico in recent years, leading to a strong positioning in the region and requiring new premises on the East Coast. The offices - on the 27th floor at 745, Fifth Avenue, NYC ? are within Sparkle?s American headquarters and will become Loquendo?s operational base for the North American markets. Sparkle is the global connectivity and service provider of the Telecom Italia Group - of which Loquendo is also a part.
Loquendo provides highly accurate and efficient ASR and truly expressive and natural sounding TTS ? offering a total of four languages and nine voices specifically for the North American markets: four US English voices, two French Canadian, two American Spanish and one Mexican voice, giving Loquendo?s customers ample reach across the entire region. A fifth American English voice will be released this summer.
Loquendo speech technologies are currently available in: U.S. and U.K. English, Canadian French, French, American Spanish, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinian Spanish, Castilian, Catalan, Valencian, Galician, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, Esperanto, German, Dutch, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Swedish, Turkish, and Polish in both male and female voices, with more always under development.
