MenaCast has released an upgraded version of its MenaMonitor portal, an online broadcast media monitoring service that monitors television and radio broadcasts in the Middle East and North Africa.

MenaMonitor zooms in on selected keywords anywhere in the clip, and has a cross-language and multilanguage keyword search. MenaMonitor translates media clips into multiple languages, and sends alerts via email, SMS and MMS. MenaMonitor provides unlimited topic and keyword detection, and enables one to bookmark, share and comment on selected media clips. The service can be integrated into a Web site and can have administrative control. The new version, MenaMonitor 1.2, features search tools that have been enhanced to facilitate an intuitive search, and ranks the search results according to significance and relevancy. The soft scroll feature has been added as well, and more channels and languages are being monitored.

Menacast simultaneously monitors, analyses, indexes, translates and archives television and radio broadcasts. Menacast customers can use a web browser or a mobile phone to search for media, or to create custom alerts based on keywords. Menacast offers a choice of a hosted broadcast media monitoring and translation service, or an enterprise-class broadcast media monitoring and translation appliance. Menacast's solutions are geared towards government agencies, public relations firms, financial services firms, corporate communications departments, and professional services.
