Nexidia Speech Analytics Solution Now Rated Avaya Compliant

Nexidia Extractor software compatible and interoperable with key Avaya IP telephony solutions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ATLANTA, GA. -- October 20, 2008 -- Nexidia, a provider of audio search and speech analytics solutions, today announced that its Nexidia Extractor software is compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

With the Avaya compliance certification, the Nexidia Extractor software will enable Avaya customers to rapidly deploy and utilize the company's speech analytics technology to quickly gain business insight, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance customer experience, among other benefits. Specifically, companies and contact centers that currently do not have a recording platform, or are encumbered with proprietary legacy recording systems, can interface the Extractor directly with Avaya Communication Manager to capture audio and metadata and ingest this content into Nexidia's Enteprise Speech Intelligence application. This greatly reduces the time and investment required to deploy Nexidia's speech analytics solutions within customers' Avaya networks.

"Bringing together the combined capabilities of two industry leaders and fostering innovation based on open, standards-based platforms, our recent membership into Avaya's DevConnect program creates value for our customers by helping them uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure," said John Willcutts, president and CEO of Nexidia. "Our customers have been looking for a solution to analyze audio without going through the expensive and time-consuming effort of upgrading or investing in their legacy recording platforms. With this integration and solutions interoperability, Avaya customers will now have the ability to drive strong ROI from Nexidia's speech analytics solutions faster—and more cost-effectively and effortlessly—than ever before."

Nexidia is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program, an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network. As a Gold member of the program, Nexidia is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Nexidia who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available, getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
