Chant Inc., a leading independent software vendor of speech technology tools, announced today general availability of ProfileKit 3, a new version of its component software that enables software programs to create, delete, train, backup, and restore speaker profiles.

Now applications have the ability to quickly and easily calibrate microphones and perform speaker training for enhancing the quality of speech recognition without requiring a mouse, keyboard, or monitor. Profiles from the training can be archived and restored on demand for desktop, server, and mobile applications. ProfileKit 3 provides a common application interface for administering profiles with IBM, Microsoft, and Nuance speech technologies.

• VCL components for supporting applications built with C++Builder and Delphi 2010.


• Sun Java 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 component libraries for tools such as JBuilder 2008 and Eclipse.


• C++ Classes for supporting traditional C++ application development.


• PC2003, Windows Mobile 5, and Windows Mobile 6 compatible libraries.
