Glorsoft has released the latest version of its Velocity application development software.
Velocity v3.0 is tightly integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and provides support for the Microsoft Speech Server Platform. Velocity also provides support for all of the major speech recognition and text-to-speeh engines through its Media Resource Control Protocol interface.
"We are really pleased with the feedback from our developer community and feel we have delivered a first-class speech application development environment," stated Eoghan Ó hUallacháin, chief technology officer at Glorsoft.
Velocity v3 is a rapid application development toolkit that enables Microsoft .NET developers to create feature-rich telephony applications incorporating the latest in IP based speech technologies. The high-level Velocity API allows developers to build their applications without underlying telephony hardware and media processing layers or multithreading.
Velocity is created by .NET developers for .NET developers. It is designed to enable the developer to build telephony applications in conventional, standards-based languages rather than proprietary scripting languages or inflexible GUI based environments. The latest release of Velocity supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and the .NET 4.0 Framework and continues to evolve in line with the industry.
Velocity is being used by a worldwide developer community to build and deploy everything from simple interactive voice response (IVR) applications to high-density call management platforms handling millions of calls each year. Velocity scales from as few as two voice channels on a single server to thousands of voice channels across multiple servers. Customers include Cleveland Clinic, London Underground, and Payzone.
