Users of the latest Winscribe software version 4.1 can also use the new dictation devices from the Digta 7 series by Grundig Business Systems (GBS).

"Now, dictations recorded with a Digta 7 can be processed and forwarded in a Winscribe workflow without difficulty," says GBS managing director Roland Hollstein.

Also, the complete range of GBS products integrates with Citrix and Windows terminal server environments. This includes all of the hand-held digital dictation devices from the 400 series, the PC microphones Digta SonicMic II and Digta CordEx, as well as the 540 USB foot control. All of these products can also be used together with the newest Winscribe version.

Early this year, GBS launched the Digta 7 line of dictation devices, joined in July by a device with an integrated Bluetooth module. "With the Digta 7 Premium BT, it's now, for the first time ever, possible to send dictations from the dictation recorder via Bluetooth to a BlackBerry for transmission on the go," according to Hollstein.

The dictation device comes with an Easy Mode, a feature only available in dictation devices from GBS. With this setting, the display only reflects the essentials, and the buttons are also set to carry out only the most important dictating functions.

The slide switch with its Touch Pin is a feature in three of this line's four devices. With it, the user can operate the slide switch by feel, as the Touch Pin protrudes when the slide switch is set on Stop.

The Digta 7 Premium and Digta 7 Premium BT also include speech recognition for establishing a dictation ID, also enabling the natural pronunciation of numbers. What's more, with Digta 7 Premium products, dictations can be recorded in DSS, DSSPro and WAV formats. With the optional 256-bit encryption Digta 7 Premium products set a new benchmark in dictation security.
