AudioCodes Supports Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition

AudioCodes, a provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, now supports Microsoft's Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition .

Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition ncludes the required tools to connect Skype for Business Cloud PBX to local PSTN and SIP trunk networks and services. AudioCodes' ession border controllers (SBCs) and gateways provide the required on-premises connectivity infrastructure for Cloud Connector Edition with additional value-added services.

In addition to enabling integration with heterogeneous systems and legacy PBX, AudioCodes' Microsoft-certified SBCs offer security, more advanced dial plan settings, high availability on incoming calls, support for analog devices, and support for call recording. The combined solution of Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition with AudioCodes' infrastructure ensures a smooth migration for enterprise customers who want to move their users to the latest cloud unified communications platform from Microsoft Office 365, while preserving on-premises connectivity with their local service providers.

For customers wishing to leverage the Skype for Business server functionality and start a gradual migration to the cloud, AudioCodes provides a hybrid appliance solution, CloudBond 365, to accelerate the implementation of Skype for Business UC and voice services by allowing advanced PBX users to be registered with the local Skype for Business server in the appliance, while all other users can be serviced from Microsoft's Cloud PBX.

"AudioCodes has been following the evolution of Microsoft Unified Communications and supporting customer migration projects for many years," said Nimrode Borovsky, vice president of marketing at AudioCodes, in a statement. "After the release of our advanced CloudBond 365 appliance that enables Skype for Business hybrid scenarios within Cloud PBX environments, we are pleased to announce our support for the newly released Cloud Connector Edition from Microsoft, giving customers more choice as they look to select the best migration path to fit their needs."

"The release of Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition is a major milestone in our journey to transition our customers to Cloud PBX in Office 365. We are very pleased to see the continued innovation and support from AudioCodes in close collaboration with Microsoft," said Giovanni Mezgec, general manager of Office 365 partner marketing at Microsoft, in a statement.
