MobileVoiceControl Launches Voice Driven Mobile Search

CINCINNATI - MobileVoiceControl Inc., a mobile speech application provider, released VoiceControl, a subscription-based system that is driven by natural voice commands. The product allows consumers to search for Web content, or perform dialing, email and calendar functions by "asking" their phone for the information.

VoiceControl is available on Sprint (NYSE:S) phones, including BlackBerry handsets from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:RIMM), Treo smart phones from Palm Inc. and Windows Mobile 5.0 from Microsoft Corporation models.

Using voice commands, a Sprint customer can find sports scores, movie times, business listings, weather and more. The system does not require any voice training.
