Loquendo Launches Finnish

Loquendo today released its first voice in the Finnish language  Milla, the female Finnish voice, with the male Finnish voice to follow later in the year.

The launch of Loquendo TTS in Finnish boosts the company’s presence in the Scandinavian markets and joins Loquendo’s two Swedish voices—with Danish to be released in November—to consolidate Loquendo’s presence internationally, giving partners and clients a comprehensive choice of voices for developing multilingual applications for markets right across Europe.

All Loquendo voices are available for telephony, multimedia, and embedded applications, with a broad range of footprints to choose from that will suit any device. In each of these environments, all Loquendo technologies come with the same core engine and one of the widest ranges of languages and voices in the industry.

Loquendo TTS comes with a user-friendly interface, TTS Director, that offers a variety of powerful tools, allowing prompt designers to get their prompts exactly as they want them, whatever the application.

Loquendo TTS is currently available in 25 languages: U.S. and U.K. English, Finnish, Swedish, Russian, German, Dutch, French, Canadian French, American Spanish, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinian Spanish, Castilian, Catalan, Valencian, Galician, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, Esperanto, Greek, Turkish, Polish and Mandarin Chinese - in both male and female voices, with Danish to follow in November 2008 and more languages and voices always under development.
