Speech recognition capabilities add value to service provider VoIP offerings.
Speech recognition software provider LumenVox this week achieved interoperability validation of its Speech Engine on the BroadSoft BroadWorks VoIP application platform. BroadSoft's application software enables service providers to deliver hosted PBX, mobile PBX and SIP and IP business trunking services.
BroadSoft’s service provider customers can now use speech recognition technology in conjunction with BroadWorks for enhanced customer service and better business efficiency
"BroadSoft interoperability validation confirms our speech recognition software’s high level of accuracy and performance," said Gerd Graumann, director of business development at LumenVox. "The Speech Engine underwent extensive testing with BroadWorks and will provide BroadSoft customers with an affordable and valuable speech recognition tool. The Speech Engine is a strong differentiator for operators’ VoIP services and solutions."
The LumenVox Speech Engine’s automatic speech recognition technology supports several languages, including U.S., Australian/New Zealand and U.K. English, several varieties of Spanish and Canadian French.
