BMW drivers can now access online reviews from Yelp via text-to-voice.

The new feature enables drivers to hear information for everything from parking garages to businesses such as restaurants and stores by category via the vehicle’s text-to-speech feature. Users can also hear a listing’s address, distance, phone number, and its latest three reviews.

BMW Online is available on the following cars: the 2009 and later Z4, 1, 3 and 7 Series, 2010 and later 5, 6 Series, X5 and X6; and the 2011 and later X3.

Nuance supplies text-to-speech recognition software to BMW and other auto manufacturers, including Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar, Porsche, Peugeot Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat, Hyundai, Ford, and Volkswagen.
