Crawford Media Asset Management Service to Integrate Nexidia Dialogue Search

Nexidia, a provider of dialogue search technology for the media and entertainment industries, and Crawford Media Services, provider of turn-key media solutions, including The Digital Library Web-based media asset management system for broadcasters, ad agencies, corporations, and content owners, today announced their agreement to integrate Nexidia Dialogue Search into Crawford’s Web-based media asset management system (MAM).]

With clients ranging from the United Nations to World Wrestling Entertainment, Crawford’s Web-based Digital Library significantly reduces customer costs by alleviating the customer’s burden to build, host, and manage their own media asset management system. By integrating Nexidia Dialogue Search, Crawford customers will be able to find and play any word or phrase spoken in their media.

"Dialogue provides more detail about the real content of your media than any other form of metadata, yet has traditionally been the most difficult to search," said Drew Lanham, senior vice president and general manager of media and entertainment at Nexidia, in a statement. "Automated speech-to-text algorithms won't provide the accuracy Crawford's clients require, but the cost and wait time for human transcription of these massive libraries would be prohibitive. Crawford realized that Dialogue Search is an opportunity to provide both better service and savings to their customers."

"At Crawford, we know that a successful media management solution is not just about minimizing costs," added Steve Davis, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Crawford. "It's about getting the most out of your media. Nexidia's Dialogue Search enhances our standard metadata search to ensure our customers find the best possible assets for the job."
