HALIFAX, Canada - The International Bank of Miami, N.A. (TIBOM) has selected Diaphonics' Spike Server for voice verification.

Spike Server uses voice verification by matching a caller's voice against a previously captured voice model, or "voiceprint."

According to Ricardo Perez-Reinaldo, senior vice president private banking at TIBOM, "Spike Server gives us the ability to not only verify callers, but to also record conversations and provide an audit trail of voice transactions.  Spike Server's flexibility makes it ideal for many internal and customer-facing banking applications."

According to the International Biometrics Group, the market for biometrics is growing quickly, reaching US$2.2 billion in 2005.
