ACLD Selects VoxLock to Enhance Data Security

Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, a Long Beach, N.Y.-based provider of programs and services for the disabled, selected VoxLock Technologies to enhance data security and HIPAA compliance.

ACLD will deploy VoxLock as the second factor of authentication for its consumer information system. In the course of providing health and support services for its consumers, ACLD captures personal information; this information needs to be secured and protected for regulatory and privacy concerns. The VoxLock solution positively verifies an individual’s identity by matching a sample voiceprint, against a database of previously verified user’s voiceprints to ensure the correct access and rights to information and applications as assigned by ACLD’s security systems.

According to Richard Wirth, assistant executive director of ACLD, the non-profit organization selected VoxLock for its robust security and cost-effectiveness. "We needed a multi-factor identity verification solution that we could easily integrate with our existing consumer information system," he said in a statement. "VoxLock offers a great overall solution, they customized their service offering to fit our requirements, and their customer support has been great in making this a working solution. This higher level of security will help us to maintain privacy policies and greatly adds to our on-going HIPPA compliance efforts."
