Capital One Integrates with Amazon Alexa

Thanks to a new app released today, Capital One bank customers can now check account and credit card balances, check recent transactions, find out when payments are due, and even pay bills through their Amazon Echo devices, including the new Echo Dot or Tap, or Fire TV and the devices’ Alexa voice-enabled personal assistant.

Capital One is the first financial services company to integrate with Alexa through the Alexa Skills platform.

Users will need to first enable the Capital One skill in the Alexa app and then provide Amazon with their Capital One login information. Once they do, they can then set four-digit personal keys that Alexa will ask for anytime they try to access their account info.

"More and more voice experiences are coming, and it's only going to get better for our customers,” said Rob Pulciani, director of Amazon Alexa, in a statement.
