Amcom Software XpressDesk Rated “Avaya Compliant”

Amcom Software, a  provider of mission-critical communications solutions, today announced that its XpressDesk PC Attendant Console solution is compliant with key solutions from Avaya.

Amcom’s XpressDesk helps businesses in the hospitality industry enable their call center representatives to serve as a concierge group and provide the level of service expected by both the guest and the property’s management. Amcom submitted its updated XpressDesk product line for compliance testing by Avaya and it is now certified for compatibility with Avaya's Communication Manager 5.1 and Application Enablement Services 4.2.

“Amcom is a veteran provider to the hospitality industry,” said Chris Heim, CEO of Amcom Software. “We’ve partnered with the best-known names in hospitality, including many of the biggest in Las Vegas and the most prestigious properties across the U.S., Asia, and Europe. We consistently hear how our solutions give their properties a competitive advantage because their call centers can provide exceptional customer service. Avaya’s innovative systems, along with Amcom’s advanced communications solutions, are helping hospitality leaders around the world incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure.”

Amcom Software is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program — an initiative to develop, market and sell strategic, innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network. As a Platinum member of the program, Amcom collaborates with Avaya to determine strategic products that compliment Avaya’s communications portfolio of solutions and submit them for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure — speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

“By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Amcom Software, who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. “They are able to use Unified Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line.”
