Excendia Makes Its Speech-Enabled Virtual Assistant Available on Sylantro's Hosted VoIP Platform

Excendia has integrated its speech-enabled Virtual Assistant with Sylantro’s Synergy hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform and its availability as part of Sylantro’s Synapps Catalogue of third-party applications.

Sylantro users can now use the Excendia Virtual Assistant to turn their driving time into productive work time with a safe, hands-free and eyes-free speech link to their office email and phone systems. Sylantro users can now have a Speech Dialer on their desk to call colleagues and contacts by name using speech commands. They can also use speech while driving to change their call forwarding and status, listen to their email and reply to them or compose and send new ones, or check their calendars and schedule new appointments.  The multilingual Speech Receptionist enables people to be transferred to the person or service they want to talk to by simply saying their name.

Excendia integrates Unified Communications, speech mobility, intelligent call routing, and voice-activated call forwarding to complement Sylantro’s hosted VoIP offering with convenient voice access to office data and telephone functions.

“We are excited about the availability of Excendia’s speech-enabled mobility application as part of our Synapps Catalogue. Excendia’s unique value proposition combines safety and business productivity for the business user which our service provider customers and re-sellers can use to differentiate themselves and increase revenues. Applications from developer partners such as Excendia are the keystone of Sylantro's vision for the next generation of IP communication services developed using our standards based Synergy platform and Synapps Web Services” said Shirish Andhare, Sylantro’s vice president of marketing.

"The Excendia Virtual Assistant translates the openness of IP telephony and speech technologies into real benefits for Sylantro users by acting as a bridge between the user and her/his messaging and telephone infrastructure at the office resulting in new and unique speech-enabled services.” noted Gabor Barta, vice president of sales and business development at Excendia. “It uses the business data to make the phone intelligent and uses the phone to make corporate data accessible remotely. It features safe mobility and increased productivity and can be configured for multilanguage and multitenant operations. In essence, it turns any phone into a virtual office with a 24 X 7 personal assistant."
