Intervoice Opens Office in China

Intervoice, a provider of Internet-based voice portal, contact center, mobile messaging, and call completion solutions, has expanded its Asia Pacific operations with the opening of a new office in Shenzhen, China.

The company has named Ben Hart as managing director for its APAC region. Hart comes to Intervoice with extensive experience in internationalsales and business development. Throughout his career he has workedwith next-generation technologies and applications. He has lived andworked in China for almost 10 years. In his new role, Hart isresponsible for overseeing direct sales and channel sales as well aspartner development in APAC.

"Intervoice has a solid portfolio of IMS-proven call completion andsubscriber self-service solutions that is already supported by a strongpartner ecosystem. I’m excited to join a team that is so very wellpositioned to take advantage of the huge mobile subscriber base, bothin China and throughout the region," Hart said in a statement.

China is the right location for us to capitalize on regional growth. It is important that we not only have a strong presence in the area but we also have a strong leader," Frank Sherlock, senior vice president and managing director of Intervoice, said in a statement. "Opening our facility in Shenzhen and bringing Ben on board to lead sales efforts are the right decisions that will allow us to accelerate our position in Asia Pacific generally and the China market specifically."

Intervoice developed its presence in APAC by selectively partnering with local and regional sales and distribution leaders such as ITA, Alliance Digital, E@ble, ITApps and Shenzhen-based network equipment provider, Huawei. As a result of these partnerships, Intervoice currently supports customers across a variety of industries throughout the region, including banking, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications and the public sector.
