Newfound Communications Launches Nuance Voice Platform Start Kit featuring the Paraxip Media Gateway

Newfound Communications, a speech solution provider, announces the general availability of the Nuance Voice Platform (NVP) Starter Kit in conjunction with Nuance Communications and Paraxip Technologies. The NVP Starter Kit is a new offering that addresses the growing demand for VoiceXML solutions and the Nuance Voice Platform.

With pricing starting at $14,998 for a complete speech solution, the NVP Starter Kit provides a more affordable package for both the developers and the small/medium-size enterprise (SME) with the power and performance of the Nuance Voice Platform.

Provided and supported by Newfound Communications, the NVP Starter Kit leverages the World Wide Web Consortium's VoiceXML 2.0 standard. The NVP Starter Kit is preconfigured with Nuance Voice Platform™ 3.0, the award-winning Nuance Application Environment, the software-based Paraxip Gateway, a rack mount speech server from Alliance Systems and analog telephony hardware from Intel. The NVP Starter Kit also includes the market-leading speech recognition engine, Nuance 8.5; and Nuance Vocalizer 3.0 human-sounding text-to-speech software.

Newfound's offering makes NVP an affordable option for companies wishing to test and deploy as few as 4 ports. Applications such as auto-attendants, flight information, account balance look up and voice activated dialing have helped major enterprise and telecommunication carriers to reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction and create new revenue streams.
