Philips Debuts Dictation Recorder for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android

Philips has released a recorder app that allows users to record, edit, and send dictation files directly from smartphone platforms, including the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry.

"Thanks to modern telecommunications and our new solutions, you can record your dictations wherever you want and send them immediately to your office," says Thomas Brauner, CEO of Speech Processing Solutions, Philips' parent company. "To avoid people accidentally getting access to your audio files, the highly secure Philips recorder for smartphones optionally offers the capability to encrypt dictation files. In addition, the application can be locked via PIN code."
