RAMP Enhanced Platform Supports Amazon Marketplace

Next-generation search and video provider RAMP has unveiled MediaCloud VM, a solution that integrates RAMP's MediaCloud platform and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

With MediaCloud VM, developers can use RAMP's speech recognition technology inside their existing AWS accounts and integrate it into their existing applications. Audio or video files can be dropped into a folder, where they are processed and generate a rich XML output featuring time-coded and confidence-scored transcripts, as well as speaker turns and additional speech artifacts.

RAMP will initially offer English telephony speech models with planned support for additional languages and models in the near future, as well as support additional IaaS platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.

"Launching MediaCloud VM in the AWS Marketplace is the logical next step [for us], allowing customers to power their audio and video indexing needs within their existing accounts with all the scale and cost benefits virtualization brings to the table," said Joe Lichtman, vice president of products at RAMP, in a statement.
