Roberto Pieraccini Appointed Chair of IEEE-SLTC

Roberto Pieraccini, chief technology officer, SpeechCycle was recently appointed chair of the IEEE-SLTC, the Speech and Language Technical Committee. This is an organization within IEEE Signal Processing Society--currently composed of 32 members among the top research leaders in the field--which has the goal of coordinating all the IEEE technical activities related to speech technology (e.g. conferences, workshops, publications, awards, interaction with other societies within and outside IEEE).
