Zurich, SWITZERLAND - SVOX AG, a European developer of synthetic speech technology (text-to-speech), announced the opening of their new representative office in Vienna, Austria. The inauguration event, which included presentations and demonstrations from Philips, Sonorys Technology, SVOX and FTW, attracted over 40 delegations from various Austrian industries as well as local politicians. The office will service the Austrian market and act as a field office for the increasing number of enquiries from Eastern Europe. The Vienna representation complements existing offices in Z rich, Switzerland and Köln, Germany. Volker Jantzen, CEO of SVOX explains: "The opening of a representative office in Vienna is a logical, scalable expansion for SVOX. We already have a superb German text-to-speech product which is widely accepted in the Austrian market. Additionally, SVOX is currently deployed in a large customer pilot project, which makes the move east a natural step. It's all about scalability." "The creation of a powerful local ecosystem is a vital step on the road to becoming the leading player in this market. Strong partnerships will enable us to provide the full portfolio of solutions our customers demand," argues Wolfgang Oesterreicher, Key Account Manager for Austria.
