Sensory Joins Symbian Platinum Program

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Sensory, Inc. has joined the Symbian Platinum Program to support smartphones based on Symbian OS™. As a Platinum Partner, Sensory is extending its embedded speech recognition to the Symbian OS ecosystem.  Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS, which is licensed by mobile phone manufacturers.

Sensory will be able to offer Symbian OS developers a user interface using large vocabulary speaker independent recognition, continuous digit recognition, handset command and control, text-to-speech playback, and animated speech.

With the FluentSoft SDK, recognition sets can be built on the device and are created using text-based input that does not require training. Qualified Beta testers who would like to develop speech recognition applications on Symbian OS can apply for a free, single-user development-only license of the FluentSoft SDK.
