Sonant Corporation Selected to Automate Jury Services for Los Angeles County Superior Court

Sonant Corporation announced it has provided a hosted service to automate the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles Juror Services with a cloud-based, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system incorporating speech recognition. The Sonant solution, called CourtTalk JuryTM, automates many routine tasks for the court while freeing agents to provide better service to callers.

Handling over a quarter million calls per month, the system helps the Court manage several million jurors annually and their interactions with 39 court locations and a central customer call center. The system notifies jurors when and where to appear for a court date and allows self-processing of many functions such as registration, obtaining nightly reporting instructions, deferrals, disqualifications and exemptions. When needed, the cloud-based system routes callers to specific agents based on their availability and language requirements. Each individual court location also administers their part of the system on a daily basis to provide reporting instructions and custom messages to their jurors.
