Tellme's Voice Application Network Servicing 1-800-FLY-SONG

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA and ATLANTA, GA - Tellme Networks Inc. and Song, an airline operated by Delta Air Lines, announced 1-800-FLY-SONG will provide callers with a way to find flights and book tickets, all using their voice. 1-800-FLY-SONG delivers the information a caller requests and matches them with the lowest fares. Delta is providing a customer service number, 1-800-FLY-SONG, using voice recognition and an Internet application to provide information to callers, giving them the most current flight and fare information available. It is a single point of contact for everything customers need from Song, including flight status, fares and schedules, reservations, travel information, Web support and baggage assistance. "1-800-FLY-SONG reflects the Song experience," said Joanne D. Smith, vice president of marketing and customers for Song. "It's simple, friendly and delivers exactly what our customers want at the lowest price and highest quality. We're changing airline service at every level." The technology behind 1-800-FLY-SONG is voice recognition and the VoiceXML Internet-telecom standard running on Tellme's Voice Application Network. The service was created by Tellme in voice user interface design to provide callers with the information they need. "Song is a great example of what a phone number can be," said Mike McCue, president of Tellme. "1-800-FLY-SONG is streamlined, easy to understand and navigate and callers can just say what they want rather than punching in a string of numeric codes or getting lost in long menus. 1-800-FLY-SONG makes sense." 1-800-FLY-SONG is answering calls now.
