The Heritage at Brentwood Deploys XOP Networks’ Mass Notification Solution

XOP Networks, a manufacturer of value-added service platforms that provide voicemail, mass notification, conferencing, and other applications, announced today that The Heritage at Brentwood, a Life Care Services Community that provides senior living in Brentwood, Tenn., has deployed its Mass Notification Application on its Universal Service Node (USN) platform to notify its residents of emergency situations such a an impending severe storm.

“We have been using XOP Networks Emergency Mass Notification application to keep our residents informed and to alert them when we are faced with man-made or natural emergencies. We consider this emergency notification capability one of the important services to our residents and a service which helps differentiate us from other senior living facilities,” said Cheryl Sanders, director of administrative services at The Heritage at Brentwood.

“We are pleased to be able to assist The Heritage at Brentwood in better serving their residents by using the Emergency Mass Notification Application on our Universal Service Node platform,” said Sudhir Gupta, CEO of XOP Networks.

By using a SIP trunk to connect with the USN, the Heritage was able to add the Mass Notification application to its network without adding any additional hardware to its IP PBX.

“Having support for both legacy TDM trunks and next generation VoIP based SIP trunks allows organizations such as The Heritage additional flexibility when picking platforms for their value added service applications,” added Doug Jacobs, vice president of sales and marketing at XOP Networks.
