The Santos Logistics Group Deploys Ydilo Solution

MADRID, SPAIN - The Santos Logistics Group, a logistics and transportation company in Spain, and Ydilo Advanced Voice Solutions, S.A. announced the deployment of a voice service aimed at speeding the flow of shipping and delivery information within Santos and between the company and its customers. The Ydilo voice solution enables delivery drivers to update the corporate database by calling from any phone and entering the updated shipping information by speaking. The driver identifies each shipment by its code and then updates the delivery status as needed (e.g. complete delivery, partial delivery, delivery with incidents). If a shipment could not be delivered completely the driver can also specify a reason (e.g. not enough time, customer reject, locations closed, no payment…) After updating the delivered shipment status the driver can use the voice application to plan the next three deliveries. The voice service requires no previous training or any kind of equipment except a telephone. This is particularly important for deliveries through subcontracted companies that could not easily be equipped or trained. The voice application, which is hosted by Ydilo, integrates with the Santos database in such a way that information supplied by the delivery drivers is entered into the database in real time. The advantage for Santos' customers is a much more accurate information on the status of their shipments. The shipment tracking application on the Santos website accesses the same database updated by the Ydilo voice application, enabling customers to retrieve real time delivery data. The Santos Logistics Group benefits from the deployment of the Ydilo voice service in several ways:
·Better customer service and projection of a customer-friendly image
·Faster billing due to greater visibility of completed deliveries
·Fast time-to-market using a hosted service
·No upfront investment in hardware (e.g. handheld PCs with wireless links) or training
