Acclaim Telecom Added as Syntellect Reseller

PHOENIX, AZ - Syntellect Inc. (OTCBB: SYNL), a provider of speech-enabled self-service software solutions and hosted services, announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Acclaim Telecom Services Inc., a professional consulting, development and delivery company serving the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) industry. Under the agreement Acclaim Telecom will sell Syntellect's Vista Interactive Media Response (IMR) software platform to customers throughout the United States and Canada. The signing marks the sixth new reseller to carry Syntellect's products in 2002 with more planned in the future. "Syntellect actively partners with business and technology leaders within the contact center industry to bring world-class solutions to our customers," said Keith Gyssler, vice president of Business Development for Syntellect. "Acclaim offers customers single-source solutions to fulfill their needs in application delivery by offering the latest in speech-enabled or DTMF scripting. We are happy to be working with Acclaim and their skilled development staff." "Revolutions in technology are changing where and how IVR systems are used, said Brian Strachman, a Senior Analyst with the high-tech market research firm In-Stat/MDR. "Voice eXtensible Markup Language (VXML) opens the door to hosted IVR services and custom applications. Significant advances in speech recognition are making IVR both more user friendly and more pervasive in addition to broadening the scope of potential applications. Vendors are smart to maximize their product and distribution partnerships now as the market for IVR is expected to resume growth in 2003." "We are excited about our new relationship with Syntellect," said James Davis, President of Acclaim Telecom. "Since Acclaim focuses within the IVR services industry, Syntellect's open-standards based software platform, Vista IMR, meshes perfectly with Acclaim's delivery model. Vista IMR features a scaleable, distributed, client-server architecture, and the software runs on industry standard servers and telephony boards. This saves both Acclaim and our customers money. We particularly like the ability to write applications in open, standardized programming languages like JAVA and VoiceXML. Using Syntellect's excellent application development and management tool VistaGen, Acclaim's staff can quickly and easily develop new applications," Davis added.
