AgileTV Appoints Bob Greiner to Executive Post

MENLO PARK, Calif. - AgileTV, a provider of voice-enabled search and navigation services to the cable television industry, appointed Bob Greiner as senior vice president of sales.  Greiner brings 40 years cable experience and will oversee North American sales efforts for AgileTV.

Greiner was previously vice president of business development for Kasenna, a provider of software platforms for video delivery and services deployment.  At Kasenna he helped the company launch its services in multiple markets with several major cable operators.

Prior to Kasenna, Greiner was vice president of North American Sales for DIVA Systems Corporation, where he helped generate more than $40 million in revenues and lead negotiations with Charter, ATandT Broadband (now Comcast) and Media One.

Greiner has held executive positions with Pico Products, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of technical products and systems for the delivery of cable TV.  At Pico, he oversaw the marketing and sales divisions for the company's MACOM and CATV divisions.

In addition, Greiner founded and led a general contracting firm that built communications systems, providing voice, video and data on college campuses. He also has acquired, constructed and managed small cable systems.

Greiner was named one of the cable industry's 100 heavy hitters in 2000 and 2001 by CableFAX and was elected as a "Cable TV Pioneer" in 1988.  He is a board member of the C.O.S.T Committee of the National Cable Telecommunications Association (NCTA).
