BCE Elix Wins Two Awards for Most Innovative Web-Based Voice Technology Solution

MONTREAL, Que. - BCE Elix received two awards for its 'Talk to Santa' project at the 14th edition of Relationship Marketing Association's (RMA's) Flèche d'or Gala.  The project won first place for 'Best Application and Campaign" in the Interactive Marketing category, and received a second special prize as the jury's favorite for 'Best Interactive Initiative' from among all submitted projects.  The RMA Flèche d'or Gala is an annual event honoring the best relationship marketing initiatives in /> Quebec .

BCE Elix and its partners CONCEPT S2i and N Echo, combined their expertise to develop this project, using internet, voice recognition, text-to-speech, and the VoiceXML and CCXML standards. These applications enabled users to invite children and young-at-heart adults to experience an interactive and personalized telephone conversation with Santa Claus and Pixel, the automated elf. In order to personalize the conversation, a parent or other adult used the Web site (http://www.talktosantaclaus.com/) to submit information about the recipient.
