Cadre Technologies to OEM GlobeRanger Technology for Voice-Activated RFID Supply Chain Solutions

GlobeRanger and Cadre Technologies announced an OEM partnership. This relationship will enable Cadre to integrate GlobeRanger's iMotion(TM) Edgeware(TM) platform with its Cadence Fulfillment software, enabling voice-activated RFID supply chain applications.

Cadre is leveraging GlobeRanger's iMotion platform to develop and extend its existing suite of supply chain offerings to take advantage of emerging RFID technologies. Solutions developed on the iMotion platform will be integrated into Cadre's Cadence Fulfillment, an enterprise software solution for third-party fulfillment and logistics companies that couples order management processes with warehouse and inventory operations.  Cadre's supply chain applications are voice-enabled through its Cadence Mobile Logistics architecture/technology. With the GlobeRanger partnership, Cadre plans to have RFID offerings available fourth quarter of this year.

Using a voice-activated RFID system, workers in a warehouse can initiate a RFID tag-reading station or dock door for shipping and receiving processes. Voice capabilities can be used for directing readers to identify tagged inventory, reconcile RFID data against ASNs and instruct workers on where to place the pallets or cases. With voice activation, workers no longer have to manually look up the location of where to place the shipment. If pallets are incomplete, the system can verbally notify the worker, who can immediately deal with exceptions.

Cadre will demonstrate its Cadence Mobile Logistics and RFID capabilities in several upcoming conferences including IWLA's Information Technology Conference in Chicago on Sept. 9 and Council of Logistics Management's Knowledge Center on Oct. 4 in Philadelphia.
