CallMiner added to 20/20 Speech's Aurix Stable of Products

LONDON, ENGLAND - 20/20 Speech, a venture between NXT plc and QinetiQ, announced the expansion of its Aurix stable of products, with the launch of CallMiner. CallMiner searches audio/video files for specific keywords or phrases, returning a list of search results relating to the search criteria. Audio mining searches are conducted on pre-recorded (or offline) data. According to 20/20 Speech, this offers considerable benefit to the call centre market where a large percentage of output is recorded and monitored for efficiency and quality control activities. A recent Datamonitor report (DMTC0856 Dec 2002) states that the global market for call centre component technologies like call recorders, will grow from $4.1 billion in 2002 to approximately $5.5 billion in 2007, representing a year on year growth of 6 percent. Call recording is identified as the fastest growing of these call centre technologies to be adopted. "CallMiner is a key addition to our stable of Aurix content management products. We now have a growing range of products powered by Aurix technology, that are relevant to many applications and industries," Ian Brotherston, 20/20 Speech's Managing Director said.
