Civicom Chatterbox Adds Video Transcription

Market research solutions provider Civicom Marketing Research Services has integrated automated video transcription into its online bulletin board solution, Civicom Chatterbox.

The automated transcription feature enables researchers to extract and gain insights from respondent videos posted on Civicom ChatterBox.

Civicom Chatterbox is an enhanced online research platform where users can submit responses in text, image, audio, and video form as they navigate through in-platform activities. The platform now offers integrated automated video transcription, where respondents and project moderators can view speech-to-text conversion upon upload of a video for an activity. The automated transcription feature supports more than 110 languages and variants.

The video transcription tool automatically detects the language used in the uploaded media and transcribes it as the video is optimized and posted onto the platform. The transcript will then appear below the submitted video where the viewer can listen and follow along the transcript simultaneously. Researchers and project managers can edit the transcript as needed for enhanced accuracy, and excerpts can be selected and saved for insight gathering and reporting.
