Convergys Completes Acquisition of Avaya Global Employee Service
CINCINNATI, OH - Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a company that helps integrate billing, employee care, and customer care services, has announced it has completed its acquisition of Avaya Inc.'s (NYSE: AV) global employee service operations. This marks the "go live" period for Convergys to begin providing expanded human resources support services to Avaya's more than 17,000 employees throughout the Americas (including Canada, Latin America, and the United States), Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Convergys will support Avaya from employee service operations in the United Kingdom, Russia, Israel, Singapore, Australia, China, India, Japan, and The United States. Avaya designs, builds, and manages communications networks and services for businesses. Convergys and Avaya initially announced the acquisition and multi-year employee care contract extension late last month. "Companies that operate globally have a need to provide their employees with consistent human resources services around the world," said Steve Rolls, Convergys Executive Vice President, Global Customer Management and Employee Care. "With this acquisition, Convergys becomes the first HR services provider to offer human resources service capabilities to multi-national clients on a pan-regional basis."
