D-Link and SVOX Launch Speech Server

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - D-Link, a networking manufacturer, is launching its Speech Server together with SVOX, its partner and a specialist in speech synthesis technology. At CeBIT, products and solutions for the call center sector will be presented for the first time. As well as the Speech Server itself, these include Speech Server implementation into telephony environments. The Speech Server unites D-Link's server technologies with SVOX's forward-looking speech technology software. The Server is available as a 19" unit and offers numerous features such as SCA hot-swap drives, slim DVD/CD-Rom and FDD as well as its minimal dimensions. Technologies from D-Link and SVOX are also being used together in telephony solutions. The Swiss provider WBe is building on the skills of both companies in its telephony solutions, with call center and text-to-speech applications. Here too, D-Link is underlining its increased involvement in solutions for the VoIP and call center field. For Klaus Dieter Hesse, Managing Director of D-Link Germany, the partnership with SVOX represents a further significant step in the expansion of D-Link's product range: "The increasing integration of server technologies and all kinds of applications requires strong partners and the best skills to bring rewards for both sides. In SVOX we have found such a partner. The forward-looking technology and first-class quality of SVOX's software enable optimum integration into our products and top quality and ease of use for our customers."
