De Beers Mining Operations Selects NICE

RA'ANANA, Israel - De Beers Group, a supplier of rough diamonds, has selected NICE as the preferred supplier.  NICE has already received orders in excess of $1 million for its video security solutions. With deployment underway, De Beers is currently formalizing a contract covering the supply of NICE technology to enhance security at its diamond mining, sorting and other sites around the world.   

 

During an ongoing implementation program, NICE digital video solutions will replace existing analogue systems as and when dictated by the business case for these technology upgrades.  The NICE solution provides De Beers with video with content analytics, multiple site monitoring, automatic alarm management, transmission and recording.

 

NICE was selected after De Beers initiated a selection process to identify a preferred provider of critical security surveillance solutions.  The process, which included market surveys, laboratory evaluations as well as proof of concept testing on group operations alongside other short-listed solutions, resulted in the provisional selection of NICE late in 2004.  This provisional status has now been formalized.
