Diotek Releases Three New TTS Voices

Diotek, a Korean company specializing in speech synthesis and speech recognition solutions, has released three new languages to its text-to-speech (TTS) voice lineup. The new voices, based on intelligent syntactic analysis, are Claire (U.K. English), Estelle (Canadian French), and Monica (Brazilian Portuguese).

Based on 15 years of R&D and business experiences, Diotek has already introduced speech synthesis solutions for languages such as U.S. English, Mexican Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. With the launching of the three new TTS voices, Diotek aims to expand its business to the North American, South American, and European markets.

Diotek's portfolio includes various domains, including IVR call centers, eBook readers, Web readers, and devices for the visually impaired, as well as language learning software/services, electronic dictionaries, robots, navigation devices, and smart home appliances. Currently, Diotek is preparing to strengthen its core business by providing multilanguage TTS solutions through a global software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.

Meanwhile, many of Diotek's TTS languages can be sampled through DioTTS, a trial application on Google Play. DioTTS enables users to input a sample text that can be read aloud through TTS based on the selected language and speaker. Furthermore, DioTTS can be embedded in the user's Android system settings to act as the default TTS for the user's mobile phone. DioTTS is available for download on Google Play.
