Dolphin Computer Access Limited Partners With Wizzard Software

PITTSBURGH - Dolphin Computer Access Limited has again chosen Wizzard Software's IBM ViaVoice Text-To-Speech Engine offering for use in a variety of their assistive products.  Founded in 1986 in the United Kingdom, Dolphin has companies and offices in the UK, USA and Sweden, and an international dealer network in over 40 countries worldwide. Dolphin's product range encompasses computer access technology, audio publishing and education solutions.

"Dolphin has an international reputation for innovation, reliability and customer satisfaction. We invest heavily in new product development, so that our customers have the best possible products and maximum product choice," said Stephen Hawkes, Marketing Manager for Dolphin. "In many respects our products are judged by the quality of the speech output generated by the TTS engine, therefore, we need to offer a range of good quality and reliable speech synthesizers such as Wizzard's ViaVoice offering."

Dolphin produces a range of software solutions for blind and low vision computer users, ranging from text reading software to full screen readers and combined screen readers and magnifiers. IBM ViaVoice is packaged with many of their products in many markets.

For example, IBM's ViaVoice is one of the voices behind Dolphin's Supernova, a magnifier screen reader that allows user to navigate Windows applications, the Internet and email.  Dolphin's LunarPlus Enhanced Screen Magnifier offers people with a visual impairment the advantage of speech output available with IBM's ViaVoice.  The Hal Screen Reader from Dolphin provides screen access for blind computer users through a speech engine such as IBM's ViaVoice.
