Elan Speech Releases Speechissimo

TOULOUSE, FRANCE - Elan Speech, a provider of Text-to-Speech (TTS), launched Speechissimo, its first consumer targeted solution for MAC OS X users, giving them the opportunity to use a vocalisation tool speech-enabled by Elan Sayso multilingual TTS technology. Speechissimo is a smart tool allowing access to written information in a lively and natural way. Speech-enabled with Elan Sayso, Speechissimo reads any text out loud in real time, with a natural sounding voice. Speechissimo sits in the corner of the screen. The user selects the piece of text he is interested in, copies it and presses "play," or drags and drops the piece of text onto Speechissimo to start reading it. Speechissimo allows the end user to doing anything he wants while listening to selected information. It can also be used as a proof reading tool and language learning aid. Speechissimo is available directly at $49 per machine and per language.
