Former VP of Speechworks Joins Unveil

WALTHAM, MA - Unveil Technologies Inc., a developer of customer self service software applications for contact centers, announced that Joseph A. Murphy has joined the Company's senior management team as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Service. Mr. Murphy brings to Unveil more than 25 years of sales experience to Unveil, including roles at speech recognition and contact center software vendors. Mr. Murphy joins Unveil Technologies after serving as vice president of Sales for SpeechWorks Inc., a speech technology provider, where he helped establish the company as a player in the contact center market. Prior to SpeechWorks, Mr. Murphy also served in senior sales management positions at Genesys Telecommunications and GeoTel Communications. Mr. Murphy's breadth of knowledge was built from his experience as a sales executive at both start-ups and more established corporations. Mr. Murphy brings a record of accomplishment to Unveil, including achieving rapid revenue growth and launching successful products. As Vice President of Sales for SpeechWorks International for more than three years, Mr. Murphy developed the overall sales and distribution strategy, built the sales team and grew the Company's revenues from $9 million to $47 million, which helped SpeechWorks through a successful IPO in 2000. His prior experience also includes three executive sales management positions at leading contact center companies that had successful IPO's, including Genesys Telecommunications, acquired by Alcatel, and GeoTel Communications, later acquired by Cisco.
