Glenayre To Add SpeechWorks' Speech Technologies to Versera Voice; Glenayre Pioneers Next-Generation Messaging Solutions On Red Hat Linux Operating System

ORLANDO, FL, and ATLANTA, GA -- Glenayre Technologies Inc., (NASDAQ: GEMS)a provider of advanced and next-generation communications solutions, announced it will integrate the OpenSpeech Recognizer speech recognition and Speechify text-to-speech engines from SpeechWorks International Inc (SPWX), a provider of speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies and services, into Glenayre's Versera Voice Services Suite. The combined solution will empower individuals to use a conversational speech interface to access and navigate personalized information services and voice, fax and e-mail messages from any wireless or wireline phone.
