Kirusa and 8hertz Partner To Deliver Multimodal Applications

BEME, SWITZERLAND - Kirusa and 8hertz technologies GmbH have teamed up to deliver multimodal applications to Germany's major car manufacturers, enterprises, and service providers.  8hertz will incorporate Kirusa's multimodal platform into its mobility solutions, and will demonstrate several applications for the automobile market at the Swiss Computer Science Conference on Multimodal Technologies.

"With European telecommunication companies strongly pushing convergence of telephony with Internet, we have seen a burst of interest from German industries looking to exploit the Voice over IP paradigm for the mobile environment, to finally bring voice and visual interactions together in one seamless user-experience." explained Jackson Bond, managing director of 8hertz.

Kirusa's multimodal platform offers SMS, sequential, and simultaneous multimodality, enables wireless phone and PDA users to request or add information by speaking a command, or by using visual inputs such as typing or tapping with a stylus.
