SAN DIEGO, CA - LumenVox announced the support of North American Spanish in its suite of speech recognition software, which includes the Speech Driven Information System (SDIS) and Speech Recognition Engine (SRE). Jim Blake, senior software engineer at LumenVox states, "Our research showed that support of the Spanish language was one of the most important features that clients were needing. Our business and development focus has always been, and always will be, to cater to the needs of our current and future customers." The support of Spanish is a new feature to the company's suite of speech recognition software. It is provided in the newest release v3.5 of both the Speech Recognition Engine and Speech Driven Information System. Other features being provided with this latest release include: client/server capabilities, distributed architecture, capability to have incoming audio recorded in either wav or vox formats, and support for various digital PBX switches.
